Looking forward, the blog posts associated with Reading Narrative Journalism (2024) will usually fall under three categories:
- “Good Reads”
- Here, I’m going to be talking about useful or interesting texts in the field of literary and narrative journalism. Sometimes, I’ll be talking about scholarship in the field; sometimes, about interesting long-form essays or books. Classics and current.
- “Research Fronts”
- These posts will be dedicated, first, to new or interesting Resources in the Field: interviews, web resources, breaking “digital” journalism, and so on. And second, these posts will sometimes offer reflections on directions the field of study is or isn’t taking.
- “Public Facing”
- These posts will be outward looking: about teaching, educational trends, public debates about journalism and so on.
Naturally, these categories will overlap, and not every topic will sit easily under a given category. And I’d also love to feature “guest posts” as well–if you have ideas, please use the ‘contact’ feature here to send them my way.
Thanks.
