Show: What does a “Profile” in reportage do–and not Do?

Look at the images below, from cartoons and sketchwork–all them are drawn up ‘in profile,” taking advantage of the particular medium or style that they’re presented in. But thinking ahead to what a journalistic profile might be–what attributes do you think define what a “profile” is, in each or many of these images? And how might that help you think about what a journalistic profile does–or, curiously enough, doesn’t necessarily do. In other words, could some “profiles” in journalism leave some information out?
